About Me

I graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University with a degree in Comparative Literature and completed my master’s degree in Cultural Studies. This academic background shaped the way I engage with texts—not only at the level of language, but also through layers of meaning, context, culture, and thought.
I began my career in editing, proofreading, and literary translation. Over the years, I have worked with some of Türkiye’s leading publishing houses, including Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları, Everest Yayınları, Destek Medya, and Epsilon. I translated a total of ten fiction, non-fiction, and children’s books, including a six-book young adult series approved by the American Psychological Association. In addition, I worked on the editorial and proofreading processes of numerous publications.
Throughout my publishing career, I approached text not simply as something to be corrected, but as a structure with its own rhythm, intellectual coherence, and relationship with the reader. I became interested not only in what a text says, but also in how it thinks and how it reaches the reader.
